The Effects of Bullying
Bullying affects people in so many different ways. It can hurt people both emotionally and/or physically. People who are bullied will most likely lose their self-esteem. Bullies tend to make the victim feel small, not worth it and they may feel that all the insults that the bullies are saying are true. These feelings can affect victims long after the bullying has ended. Being bullied also makes people feel anxious and scared. They think that around every corner there will be someone waiting to bully them.
Victims usually tend to try their hardest to avoid anything that will lead to bullying such as, not catching the bus and/or quit sporting teams. Someone who is getting bullied will be less likely to have concentration on what they are doing because they feel they have to be on guard all the time.

Bullying can also have physical symptoms. Feeling nervous and unhappy all the time can make a person’s stomach hurt or make them throw up. They may not be able to sleep well. Headaches are also very common. Feeling unhappy and scared results in people feeling physically awful and the outcome of that loops back to being emotionally affected. Bullying can also result in self harm which includes cutting, overdosing, punching etc. Because they don’t have the support they need and they feel that the physical pain makes them forget the mental pain for a while.
