Getting Help
In the early stages of bullying, victims may wish to try and handle the problem themselves. Victims could do this by walking away, ignoring the bullies, reporting them to the teacher or supervisor and also speaking to family members. If cyber-bulling is a problem, a good way to minimise or prevent it is by blocking people who are a bully, only having friends that you are close with and trust on social networking sites, only give out your mobile number to family and friends that you trust.
On the other hand if the situation does becomes very serious, getting professional help is extremely important. If the victim doesn’t take action the bullying can continue and get worse. Victims are not expected to deal with tough circumstances by themselves! There are many different ways to help resolve bullying and different steps to take depending on the seriousness. Always talk to your parents or family members first.
